Strawberry Banana Trifle

We had a little party at our house last weekend. We made Italian beef, bierrocks, and this yummy trifle. It's so easy, anyone can do it.

Here's what you need:
1 medium container of strawberries
2-3 bananas
1 box reduced fat Nilla wafers
2 boxes of low fat banana creme pudding
1 tub of light cool whip (we actually used a can of whipped topping for the top layer.

Here's what you do:
Mix up your pudding according to the package directions and let cool in the fridge.

Slice up your bananas and strawberries.

Now you're ready to start building your trifle.

Put a layer of Nilla wafers down on the bottom of your trifle bowl.

Layer on about 1/3 of the pudding. Add a layer of Nilla wafers around the edge. The pudding acts as your glue. Then, add some of your fruit. We started with bananas.

Next, add a layer of whipped cream. And then some strawberries,

Cover that with 1/3 more of the pudding. Add another layer of Nilla wafers on top of that.

Now, repeat all of those steps again, but instead of lining the edge with wafers, we used strawberries.

Now, put this in the fridge for a few hours - overnight is better.

When you're ready to serve, cover with another layer of whipped cream and garnish with fruit and cookies.

Enjoy!
